The Albuquerque Concert Band (ACB) is ready to play their first Christmas concert since December of 2019, at the historic KiMo Theatre on Sunday, December 4^th, 2022, from 3PM to 4PM!

 It’s been a long time since we last performed at the KiMo Theatre. Due to the pandemic in 2020, and renovations in 2021, we weren’t able to perform our holiday concert at the KiMo and performed at the Eldorado HS PAC instead. The Albuquerque Concert Band is excited to be back at the KiMo and are ready to play our fun and festive holiday music!

 The Albuquerque Concert Band has been playing a free holiday concert at this beautiful and famous venue for almost 15 years. This concert is always a fun and festive occasion not only for the audience but for the band as well. The band enjoys dressing in decorative garb and our conductor, John Sanks, brings his vast assortment of holiday hats to change into throughout the concert. What will he bring this year? What will the hat count be? You’ll have to show up to the concert to find out!

 This year, we have added an assistant director to the band, Josephine Gonzales, Director of Bands at Highland HS. Josephine plays French horn in the ACB and has been in the group for many years. Josephine’s husband, band member and tuba player, Jordan Sayre, will be narrating the Night Before Christmas as the band plays along!

 Be sure and warm up those singing voices and get ready to sing-along with the band as we play your holiday favorites! Put on your holiday gear and come on over for a visit and enjoy an hour of music and merriment! Bring family, bring friends! Whether you are young or young at heart, you won’t want to miss this special event! Everyone is welcome to attend.
