Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist

Duties include, but not limited to:
Manage the NMVAHCS Veteran Transportation Program, which includes:
Beneficiary Travel/Special Mode Transportation; Veterans Transportation Service and Highly Rural Transportation Grants. Serve as primary Medical Center representative to State Transportation Departments; regional governmental agencies involved in transportation, (Area Councils of Government, Area Agencies on Aging, Veterans Transportation Community Living Initiative Grantees, etc.) and local agencies and transportation providers for the purpose of developing a network of transportation resources for VA beneficiaries through collaborative agreements and Memorandums of Understanding. Assures and oversees the scheduling of routine, urgent and emergent transportation for veterans, matters related to resource allocation, program development, supervision, managing the Beneficiary Travel and Special Mode Transportation audit processes/policies/procedure guides/ remediation/reporting. Fund Control Point management, inter-service collaboration, community resource development with internal and external coordination than may involve multiple state, regionaJ and local agencies, and analytical assessments. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-09) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Analyze and evaluate information pertinent to the efficient and effective operation of Veteran Transportation Program; Subject Matter Expert on VA ride scheduling software and applications within the VTP Program; evaluate efficacy of improvements (such as monitoring timeliness and supply and demand for new transportation resources and routes); knowledgeable of the Beneficiary Travel CDW- Behavioral Tools/ Audit policy and process as well as Special Mode policy and procedure guide. OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in one or LL.M. if related. Note:
coursework must have equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist position. OR, Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in one or LL.M. if related. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
