Program Support Assistant

The incumbent will under the direction of the Business Manager, Surgical Service to supplement the administrative needs of the service. Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Incumbent will develop, implement, and analyze information to assure compliance with Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) guidelines and the National Surgery Office criteria. Serve as the timekeeper for employees in the Surgical Service. In addition, incumbent will be the backup Automated Data Processing Application Coordinator (ADPAC), and the TMS coordinator for the Service. Responsible for the preparation and consolidation of all correspondence in conjunction with physician applications for credentialing and privileging in Surgical Service which must be presented to the Professional Standards Board. Coordinate the gathering of information from other Service Chiefs and assist in the generation of administrative reports, clinical reviews and workload analyses. Work with Human Resource Management service in classification review will assist the AO in review and update of position descriptions; the completion of performance appraisals; and will offer support and assistance to the Chief, Surgical Service, regarding personnel actions such as promotions, achievement awards, counseling and disciplinary actions. Incumbent will serve as the alternate arranger for Surgical Service employees in Conquer.gov travel system for service employee travel. Assist and advise employees in training and help develop a skilled work force through education and training programs. The incumbent will serve as the liaison/point of contact between the Surgical Service and all trainees from other disciplines rotating through the Surgical Service (Surgical residents, Podiatry residents, Optometry Residents, medical students). Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. Specialized Experience GS-06:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
