Under the general supervision of the Bursar, the Business IT Analyst is responsible for systems administration, consultation, development, and hands-on function support necessary to implement Central New Mexico Community College's (CNM's) vision for improved business services and increased options for automation and web-based services. Assists with system functionality primarily in the Banner Accounts Receivable Module but will also assist in the Finance, Human Resources/Payroll, and Budget Modules. Applies creativity and best practices to take full advantage of the technological systems in place at CNM to include Banner, Touchnet, Workflow, OnBase, and Argos reporting systems and related applications to meet business needs and requirements. Responsible for reviewing the integrity of all data, complex reporting, application maintenance, and Business Office information systems special projects. Works closely with the Information Technology Department to ensure that data is captured accurately and data integrity is maintained. Responsible for process improvement and design, working collaboratively with internal and external key stakeholders.
Develop and maintain written documentation of all fiscal-related (Accounts Receivable) technological systems, applications, and web projects including modifications, enhancements, problems, interfaces, data dictionary maintenance, etc. Develop user friendly procedures, guidelines, and documentation. In collaboration with users, develop and enhance reports to verify the accuracy and integrity of all system data and to support the information needs of Business Office staff. Write, maintain, and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools; develop and administer standard reports.
Identify, compile, and deliver required metrics by proactively managing multiple data sources. Continually review and find ways to improve current processes for greater efficiencies and reduction in non-value added activities, working in partnership with key stakeholders internal and external to the Accounts Receivable Department. Generate and maintain concise sets of standard reports that provide insight into operational statistics, performance, and trending.
Evaluate functional work requirements and recommends solutions for automating and enhancing business processes. Challenge current practices and where appropriate, propose more efficient and effective alternatives. Troubleshoot and analyze business systems problems. Continuously strive to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems through automation and seek alternatives that better meet the business needs and improve business processes.
Work closely with the Information Technology Department staff to define requirements in the creation, upgrading, and maintenance of programs, databases, and reports. Recommend, test, and implement solutions in concert with IT and Business Office professionals. Assist in the review, testing, and implementation of business systems upgrades or patches. Collaborate with IT staff to coordinate application of upgrade or patch. Collaborate with other College project teams to ensure that data integrity and timeliness needs are met and that system interfaces are properly specified and tested.
Work with internal Business Office staff on process workflow. Play a pivotal role in the advancement and improvement of CNM's business processes. Work collaboratively with department staff to analyze business requirements, needs, and practices. Evaluate functional work requirements and recommend solutions for automating and enhancing business processes. Align process improvements with CNM's strategic goals. Identify best practices and measurable process improvement strategies. Train Accounts Receivable staff on updated processes.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in the Information Systems field.
Three (3) years' experience providing solutions, tracking issues and resolutions, advanced query and SQL skills, and completing transactions in ERP systems.
Two (2) years systems implementation experience.
Knowledge of financial, accounting processes, budgeting, financial analysis, and problem solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and changing demands while being responsive to end user needs. Extremely detail-oriented. Capacity to adapt to changing priorities.
This position requires a background check.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
