Summary: Provides basic-level support within a science and engineering environment involving assignments that may include assisting with research, application of project design and diagnostics, testing and documentation, development and analysis of technology options, and assembly and troubleshooting. Primary Job Duties: Job assignments vary upon organization and specific job requirements as defined in the job specification.
Duties may include providing basic support to technical staff with developmental research, analysis of technology and engineering options, project design, testing, formulating conclusions, data collection, and analyzing experimental data.

Our Organization seeks an outstanding high school senior with impeccable academic credentials in math, science English and computer programming. We are looking for a year-round intern who is able to work 40 hours per week during the summer. Preference will be given to students who elect to attend college in New Mexico. Specifically, we seek an individual with hands-on experience with robotics projects (successful competition experience may substitute for academic experience), computer programming skills (C, C++, Python), computer operating systems skills in Linux and Windows, as well as HTML, CSS and Web server experience. Exposure to concepts and computer vision is a definite plus. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Basic knowledge of technical principles and processes.
Pursued understanding of a variety of research tools.
Basic oral and written communication skills.
Ability to contribute in a team environment.
Basic knowledge of a suite of software, including Microsoft Office. Desired: Hands-on experience with robotics projects
Computer programming skills in C, C++, Python
Computer operating systems skills in Linux and Windows
HTML, CSS and Web server
Computer vision Security Clearance: Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE)-granted L-level security clearance.
