Vistronix is seeking a qualified Senior Applications Programmer with experience customizing COTS applications (potentially NetIQ Identity Manager) in a Windows environment. This position requires extensive experience with installing, configuring and customizing a COTS application that will be used as the authoritative enterprise IT Access Control system in support of federal Identity and Access Management initiatives.
The most successful candidates must be knowledgeable and experienced with the following:
The candidate must have extensive experience with installing, configuring and customizing a COTS application that will be used to provision user account identities across multiple computing platforms including Microsoft Active Directory and UNIX.
The candidate must have experience with PowerShell and Visual Basic Scripting is required. Active Directory and Windows Servers 2008R2/2012 administration experience is a plus.
The candidate will conduct requirements analyses and preparation of program specifications. Recommends changes and additions as appropriate.
The candidate will monitor program development to ensure integration with other applicable systems. Provides appropriate levels of security for sensitive data.
The candidate will provide technical assistance, consultation, and briefings as required.
The candidate will perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities independently, which are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design and implementation, including hardware and software.
The candidate will develops scripts and is responsible for ensuring proper execution of those scripts.
The candidate will use software and hardware tools, monitors, tests, troubleshoots, and provides support on performance and access problems with local network, workstations (desktop/laptop, peripherals, etc.), software applications, and server systems, recommending repairs and changes as necessary.
The candidate will also ensure that all documentation on processes and procedures are available and updated regularly.
Candidates will be evaluated for mid-level and senior roles based upon the following criteria:
Senior Level Minimum Education and
Experience:
Ten years of Information Technology experience with 5 or more years of specialized experience in software application development and systems administration in a production environment.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or similar discipline.
Additional Certifications highly desired.
Entry Level Minimum Education and
Experience:
Five years of Information Technology experience with 3 years of experience in hands-on system administration.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or similar discipline preferred.
Additional Certifications preferred.
