Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) Coordinator

The PWS Coordinator will work under the direction of the Nutrition Department Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. The Coordinator will coordinate the statewide case management services. Will provide consultation services to assigned cases. Will coordinate the identification of persons with PWS and participate in Eligibility and Determination meetings for the PWS Project. Will monitor PWS Project respite services. Will provide technical assistance and training. Will conduct annual case review of all individuals being served by the PWS Project. Will participate in Eligibility and Determination Meetings for the PWS Project. Will provide public awareness regarding PWS. Will provide and share writing duties of the PWS Monthly Report. Will participate in the PWS Project Annual Meeting/Conference. Will maintain documentation of training, evaluations, and assessments.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling or related field required.
  2. Experience in family education and experience securing resources for families required.
  3. Experience with individuals with intellectual, developmental and cognitive disabilities preferred.

Must have ability to develop and manage Individual and Family Service Plans. Must have ability to advocate for the human rights and developmental needs of individuals who have developmental disabilities. Must have the ability to problem solve, organize, and meet deadlines. Must have demonstrated skills in oral and written communication. Must be able to understand and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Computer/technology: Computer skills and experience using Internet/Intranet, Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and database applications is strongly preferred.
Hours: Generally Monday through Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Time of Day: Days
Wage: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour DOE

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
