Logistics Specialist Location:
Albuquerque, NM This Logistics Specialist role, located in Albuquerque, NM is an onsite position within the National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA), Office of Nuclear Incident Response (NA-84), Nuclear Emergency Support Team's (NEST) Standards & Training Program (NSTP)This role serves to support the NSTP team
Responsibilities:
o Develop schedule for Department of Energy (DOE) training events with Federal Planners and for logistic planning purposes.
o Create, conduct, and maintain logistical inventories.
o Manage logistic purchasing reconciliation as directed.
o Provide technical support to a broad range of logistics and exercise related policies, meetings, exercises, and responses, including clearance request and badging issues.
o Maintain logistics and federal training records and associated databases.
o Coordinate and track multiple logistical plans, policy, and program initiatives.
o Support the application for Capability Forward as directed.
o Be responsive to non-typical ad-hoc tasking that may require after-hours support.
o Approximate travel requirement up to 10%.
o All other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:
o DOE site access will require the qualified candidate be a U.
S.
citizen with the ability to obtain a DOE Q security clearanceThe candidate's written consent to conduct a background check for the purposes of obtaining a security clearance will be required as a condition of employment.
o 5 years of logistics experience.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
o Proficient in Adobe and SharePoint.
o Willingness to work in an environment that changes rapidly.
o Must be an independent, self-starter with excellent organizational skills and an ability to multi-task and be comfortable working with a team of technical experts in varying fields of security and emergency operations disciplines.
o Ability to track and monitor documents from inception to production.
o Ability to perform in a dynamic environment.
o Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
o Ongoing reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal substances may be conducted as a requirement for ongoing access to DOE sites; the candidate's written consent to conduct such tests will be required as a condition of employment.
o Able to sit for extended periods and perform work in an office environment, including extensive use of computers, under sometimes stressful conditions.
o Able to work after hours, extended shifts, and on weekends when required during emergency responses and exercises.
o Able to lift 50 pounds, carry your own luggage, and walk up to a quarter of a mile to work locations
Qualifications:
o Active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Recommended Skills Administration Adobe Coordinating Databases Medical Emergency Microsoft Excel Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
