The physicians and staff at Circulate Vascular have devoted their lives to saving limbs and minimizing the pain and suffering caused by vascular disease.
We get our patients back on their feet to enjoy all the little things in life that mean so much.
Our office-based clinic treats vascular and arterial disease with the use of Interventional Radiology, performing procedures such as venogram, angiogram, and atherectomy.
POSITION This position will assist with peripheral vein and artery procedures on the lower extremities.
Work is performed on a Monday thru Friday schedule.
No weekends, nights, holidays or on call work required.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Scrubs and assists Physician with performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Maintains operational knowledge of Cath Lab equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
Performs basic upkeep and quality checks on equipment.
Responds to patient distress situations as needed.
Monitors medical supplies and medications, submits orders to management or vendor on a timely basis.
Research similar products and medications for best quality and pricing.
Able to communicate with vendors/suppliers in a professional and accurate manner.
Prepares sterile trays, instruments, supplies and equipment necessary for procedures, and maintains sterile field.
Assists with housekeeping of Lab area while adhering to sterile standards.
Possesses the knowledge & skills level of basic and complex percutaneous procedures, including peripheral interventions.
Helps to maintain, troubleshoot and operate fluoroscopy equipment to ensure operability and safety.
Calibrates equipment and performs routine preventive maintenance procedures.
Properly handles and processes PACS images to include storage and transfer.
Follows radiation safety policies.
Performs housekeeping and patient transport duties as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Rad Tech Preferred but not required.
1-year Cath Lab and/or interventional radiology experience (preferred).
2 plus years of experience as a Scrub Tech or Medical Assistant (preferred).
Able to keep a positive attitude and communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
Proficient with EMR systems, chart prep and storage and adherence to HIPPA laws.
Able to show empathy, patience and professionalism while communicating with patients and their support systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Requires high-level visual and auditory acuity for timely response in patient care activities.
Ability to move quickly in response to physician and patient needs.
Standing for long periods, occasional overhead and low reaching, and to exert force of up to 50 lbs.
