Electronics Technician with Security Clearance

Responsibilities Individual must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a DoD Secret.
Dod Secret clearance preferred.
This position will sit onsite in Albuquerque, NM.
Performs engineering functions involving the testing, analysis and evaluation of materials and processes.
Recommend candidate has the ability to solder electronics.
The desired candidate will have the ability to solder electronic assemblies and either has, or is willing to obtain IPC J-STD-001 Endorsement.
Will provide technical support on variety of technical tasks.
Analyzes technical data to determine applicability to design problems; selects from several possible design layouts; calculates design data; and prepares layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, etc.
Assembles electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
Sets up and operates test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and records results.
Qualifications:
Requires HS 4-8 Years years of experience.
Must be U.
S.
Citizen and have or be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
Secret clearance preferred Either has, or is willing to obtain IPC J-STD-001 Endorsement.
Understanding of electrical circuit fundamentals (power, communications, AC, DC, etc.
) Familiarity with basic electronic equipment such as an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and others.
Ability to assemble and repair cable assemblies with Mil-Spec circular connectors Familiarity with fiber optic cable assemblies is not required but a plus Familiarity with electrical schematics and drawings Machine shop or fabrication experience not required but a plusQualifications HS 4-8 Years Target Salary Range $51,000 - $82,000.
This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
