Qualifications:
TS/SCI clearance (client is open to upgrading a Secret clearance if needed)CCNA (can obtain within 2 months of starting)CompTIA Security+Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline & 5 or more years of relevant experience.
Or equivalent commercial or military training, certifications, and 5-8 years of network management, administration, and connectivity experience.
Demonstrated proficiency and experience utilizing test equipment and applications to evaluate, isolate, and remediate network issues.
Experience with network administration and security protocols.
Demonstrated proficiency in network engineering and programmatic experience as well as network implementation and network configuration management.
Demonstrates a good understanding of network security principles and best practices
Job Description:
Network Design Aligns design with DMOC mission technical vision and roadmap, independently create network design/architecture.
Leads network intelligence design efforts on technical solutions for complex projects, integrating technologies and with broad, strategic impact across multiple technology areas.
Gathers requirements for network design, modifications, and installations of the various network environments.
Develops network technical refresh plans to avoid obsolescence and security compliance.
Designs network architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces on the enterprise and mission network environments.
Network Evaluation, Test, and Configuration Management Support Provides analysis of network performance and reliability and identify opportunities for improvement and drive out inefficiencies.
Remediates problems in LAN/WAN infrastructure, testing and configuring networks and devices.
Creates network integration test plans.
Testing of network infrastructure and encryption devices for function and performance.
Creates and maintains network design documentation.
Creates and maintains network configuration documentation.
Creates and updates topology diagrams and associated documentation for each network enclave.
Drafts configuration change control proposals for submission to the CCB.
Additionally, ensure each change to the network environment is clearly documented, to include creating and updating all related engineering documents, drawings, and IP addressing assignments.
Network Operations & Support Responsible for the integration and maintenance of numerous DMO/LAN/WAN networks, and connectivity in support of DMOC events and exercises; in addition to ensuring the DMOC Battlespace internal network remains in a persistent, available state.
Performs configuration and troubleshooting of live, operational network environments.
Provides tier-2 and 3 support to mission.
Schedules upgrades and maintenance to minimize/avoid mission workflow impacts.
Supervises and directs a team of network engineers and technicians.
Leverages experience to provide mentoring to other members of network team.
