The ideal candidate will have a solid background in family law procedures and be adept at assisting with case preparation, document management, and direct client interactions.
Your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth case progression and maintaining the high standards our clients expect.
Key Roles 1.
Assist attorneys in the preparation, filing, and service of all court documents.
2.
Conduct legal research and preliminary case investigations to support case preparation.
3.
Manage client files, schedules, and case-related documents using case management software.
4.
Coordinate and schedule court appearances, mediations, depositions, and client meetings.
5.
Prepare drafts of legal documents such as motions, affidavits, subpoenas, discovery requests, responses, and other pleadings.
6.
Liaise directly with clients, opposing counsels, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
7.
Attend court hearings and client meetings as required, taking detailed notes.
8.
Ensure all deadlines are met and maintain an updated calendar of case activities.
9.
Assist with the discovery process, including organizing and reviewing documents and preparing exhibits for trial.
Requirements 1.
Paralegal certificate or associate degree in paralegal studies from an accredited institution.
2.
Experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law.
3.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with case management software.
4.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
5.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
7.
Detail-oriented and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
