Program Manager - Nuclear Enterprise Technologies with Security Clearance
Job ID 12541A SDL is looking for a well-rounded, mid-career program manager to help manage a portfolio of nuclear S&T work in close coordination with a strategic US government customerThe day-to-day will be a combination of customer interaction, financial tracking, schedule creation/tracking, PowerPoint, and OutlookSince this is a portfolio that supports the Unites States nuclear weapons enterprise, we are prioritizing candidates who have working knowledge of the DoD and DoE sides of the user houseAdditionally, SDL is a UARC, which occupies a special place in the federal S&T ecosystem and as such it's important for candidates to understand the different roles that UARCs, FFRDCs, and for-profit contractors play within the nuclear enterpriseThis position is located in Albuquerque, NMBasic
Qualifications:
o A four-year degreeo Applicable experience in an S&T/R&D environmento Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and scheduleso Be a power user of PowerPoint and Outlooko A Tier 5 background investigation (TS or Q equivalent)o Be able to interact effectively with scientists, engineers, and contract officers The following skills/experience are highly desired :
o A degree in a related technical fieldo An advanced degree (masters, doctorate) in a related technical fieldo Experience within the nuclear enterprise; research, development, acquisition, operationso Possess a working knowledge of UARC roles, responsibilities and capabilitieso Possess a working knowledge of the DoD and DOE nuclear enterprise organizational structure and responsibilitieso Possess the capability to expertly navigate the FAR and DoD acquisition regulations SDL supports a variety of missions, including NASA's vision to reveal the unknown for the benefit of humankind and the Department of Defense's aim to protect our Nation on the ground, in the air, and in spaceOur sensors, satellites, software systems, and science and engineering play an essential role in some important missions you've heard of, and others that you haven'tJoin our team in our seventh decade of delivering mission successFor questions or assistance with the application process or the DoD SkillBridge program, please contact EOE including Disability and Vet Recommended Skills Problem Solving Program Management Program Development Determine Best Practices Coordinating Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
