NUPosition Summary This position provides complex technical lead support focusing on programming and configuration of the City of Albuquerque's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application systems and integrated City business processes/data and IT infrastructure.
The role also involves performing a broad range of advanced computer systems administration duties in the implementation and maintenance of management ERP information systems; identifying the most effective approach for ensuring data security continuity; planning for continuing operations in the event of disruption of IT or communications across every city department.
Lead and perform advanced database administration tasks on large, multi-user server-based systems; overall performing a variety of complex technical tasks in support of ERP.
Employees perform the most technically advanced duties and serve as technical leads and technical subject matter experts for large, technically complex, multi-department projects and applications managed and supported in the ERP organization.
This is an unclassified, at-will position.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information systems, computer science; or a related field; and, Six (6) years experience in technical lead in information systems, application systems development projects, server administration, vendor software analysis and installation, ERP development, including customizations, modifications, workflow, interface development, and data conversions; and To include two (2) years of lead experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP), within 6 months from date of hire.
Possession of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Knowledge Pertinent City, State, Federal, laws, codes, policies and regulations PeopleSoft Internet Architecture and application deployment.
PeopleSoft tools including Application Designer, People Code, Application Engine, Structured Query Language (SQL).
PeopleSoft integration technologies including Application Messaging, the File Utility, Component Interfaces, and PeopleSoft Integration Broker Principals and practices of advanced technological applications trouble shooting, testing, design, development and maintenance of complex software applications Methods and techniques of application development, system design, programming, installation, trouble shooting and maintenance of complex software applications Operational characteristics and capabilities of complex data base management systems Principles and procedures of quality assurance and security related to large, complex computer application.
Principles and practices of customer service Preferred Skills & Abilities Define complex problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and prepare appropriate reports Define and execute appropriate test scenarios to validate system solutions.
Provide advanced application development project management services Effectively present information in response to inquiries from city management, regulatory agencies or the public Detect, isolate and resolve complex information system problems Manage multiple priorities on a regular basis Communicate clearly and concisely Recommend progressive ideas to address ERP applications and software functionality, and reliability, while managing costs within restrictive budgets.
