Summary:
Responsible for the execution of all maintenance work control processes.
Plan and schedule resources to conduct maintenance activities, manage work priority, develop job plans, define parts and material, define crafts and skills and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective and efficient work control plan.
Track work assignment, work orders, work order completion.
Prepare reports on maintenance, document work request trends and expenses.
Prepare reports for department budgets, trends analysis and variance explanations.
Ensure adherence to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
No patient care assignment.

Responsibilities:
SCHEDULING - Assist in verifying availability of all equipment, material, information, tools and labor prior to scheduling; coordinate work with maintenance leads, supervisors and planners, develop and implement daily work order schedule WORK PLAN - Obtain and organize all information required for the crafts to perform the work such as drawings, diagrams, notes, or any instructional material which will clarify the work to be performed.
Identify and secure all parts and material required to complete the work assignment MONITOR - Perform continuous monitoring of radio support channels STATUS - Manage the status of work order completion and backlog to include:
waiting for planning, waiting parts, ready to schedule, schedule date, work order completion.
RECORDS - Keep accurate records on the performance of planning and scheduling functions and provide timely reports LIAISON - Serve as assigned department liaison with other UNMH departments and outside agencies; provide quality service to internal and external customers BUDGET - May be responsible for all revenue and expense activities of the department, including trends analysis and variance explanations.
Audit maintenance staff workloads daily for a minimum of 7.
5 productive hours/day BILLING - Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders, review and ensure invoices are accurate and in compliance with financial policies KRONOS EDITOR - Perform routine payroll functions for the department; monitor and maintain sick and annual leave records QUALITY SERVICE - Deliver quality service and act in a positive way with all customers to complete assigned functions; identify, recommend and implement opportunities for continuous improvement SPECIAL PROJECTS - Assist with planning and coordinating of special projects, events and the area quality improvement program; provide and coordinate staff training ADMINISTRATION - Perform various administrative functions such as monitoring expenditures and preparing reports and correspondence; may participate in a variety of research projects to develop service plans; may propose changes to program policies and procedures CLERICAL SUPPORT - Perform a variety of routine word processing and clerical duties as necessary ORIENTATION - Assist in orienting new employees as required RELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
