Must use MM/DD/YYYY date format for experience entries on resumeThe Simulation and Analysis Branch, RVES, seeks to hire a mid-level, DR-02/03 Operations Research Analyst in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The incumbent will serve as a space analyst and will advise the decision makers in the Space Vehicle's Directorate.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
Advises and supports AFRL Space Vehicles Directorate mission leads, portfolio leads, program managers, and team leads in the evaluation of advanced space technologies through simulations, mathematical modeling, experimental design, measurement and systems analyses to improve efficiency and effectiveness and to assess and mitigate design risks related to cost, time, and quality constraints Conducts and leads analytic efforts to quantify mission-level capability needs against baseline space architectures concepts supporting Offensive Counter-space (OCS) and Defensive Counter-space (DCS) operations Leverages capability-needs-quantification frameworks and relevant optimization techniques to assess integrated space domain technology concepts along with associated Design Reference CONOPS, CONEMPS, and architectures against parametrically-defined capability gaps Organizes, leads and conducts military utility analysis for emerging space vehicle technologies, concepts, systems, system components, or experiments using modeling and simulation tools to assist in critical inquiry, analytical reasoning, problem solving, and scientific methodology Builds and maintains strong ties to space control analysis community across AFRL, DoD, and outside customers.

Required Qualifications United States Citizenship Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance A bachelor's degree in a a STEM-related discipline.
Must have experience, in addition to their educational experience, in any of the following related areas:
Military Utility Analysis, Operations Research Analysis, System Modeling and Analysis, Applied Optimization, Data Management and Analysis Planning.
Desired Qualifications Specific experience working in one or more space mission areas:
Space Control, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Communication, Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT), and/or Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to accomplish work through technical and administrative direction to others When uploading documents, please utilize the naming convention listed below.
