Machine Learning/Computer Vision Software Lead


Responsibilities:
ATA, a BlueHalo company, is seeking a Lead Machine Learning/Computer Vision Software Specialist.
This position focuses on developing products for real-time, near-sensor video processing.
These systems integrate modern video processing machine learning functions for automatic detection, object recognition, tracking, pose estimation, intelligent control, and video enhancement.
Initial applications will deliver upgrades and improvements to ATAs existing solutions for precision object tracking, security and surveillance, and laser communication systems.
They will apply machine and deep learning to real-time inference at the edge using small form factor Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) or Field Programmable Gate Arrays-System on Chip (FPGA SoC).
Solutions developed by this engineer will be integrated with the capabilities mapped into FPGA SoC hardware above to realize high-performance, multi-function video processing systems.
The candidate will proactively work with ATA imaging systems to collect field data, simulation imagery, and hand-crafted feature vectors that support algorithm development, training, and verification.
ATA will provide related training and senior leadership while availing testbed hardware, processing electronics, tools, and new equipment to support buildup and field test of advanced processing capabilities.
The successful candidate will report as an engineer within ATAs embedded systems group.
They will work under the direction of ATAs technical fellow, who oversees advanced processing for pointing and tracking solutions.
Qualifications:
Required Education and
Experience:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science A United States Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a U.
S.
Department of Defense Security Clearance.
A solid background in algorithms and data science.
Excellent C/C+
programming skills Familiar with Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) and/or Nvidia Jetpack development environments Solid background in machine learning and computer vision algorithm development for detection, recognition, tracking, and similar supervised learning schemes Familiar with both machine learning algorithms as well as deep learning methods Capability to apply data science skills within Matlab or Python frameworks to quickly develop, train, and assess the performance of various algorithms Preferred Education and
Experience:
Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN Has the capacity to target machine learning or deep learning to GPU for real-time inference Has interest in exploring custom hardware solutions beyond GPU that employ domain specific acceleration to achieve superior size, weight, and power for edge inferencing Experience with software development targeting Xilinx Zynq, Zynq Ultrascale, or Versal System-On-Chip Devices #LI-BS1 Company Overview:
