We are seeking an experienced Construction Technician for our Operations South team.
This role is primarily responsible for managing the construction activities that take place on the worksite and be involved in the supervision of construction contractors in the field.
The Ideal Candidate is comfortable working in an outside environment as the lead inspector of fiber placement and sliding.
This position requires travel with a company vehicle, anywhere from 50% - 75% during the day, within the state to ensure effectiveness throughout the team.

Plan, implement, and oversee construction efforts at specific work sites as directed by the construction manager.
Facilitate sales opportunities by providing the economic structure needed to meet the company's hurdle rates and/or key performance indicators.
Monitor area locator.
Responsible for completing weekly production reports.
Coordinate projects in the field to ensure they are on time and within budget.
Field inspect UPN contractors during build and post build projects.
Route Inspections - drive UPN routes to view pole line and buried routes.
Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.

year of construction or equipment installation experience Ability to effectively lead a crew to the completion of and in conformance with schedule, customer requirements, and budget guidelines.
Travel is required.
Valid driver's license required.
