The Safety Manager is responsible for enforcing and educating the Safety and Health Policy as well as local and federal safety standards on jobsites.
In addition, this position is responsible for conducting employee safety training and consults with project supervisors to develop safe work plans for all phases and tasks.

Responsibilities Oversee and ensure the safety of employees, subcontractors, and the public.
Will be traveling around the State of New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas to enforce corporate and project-specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state, and local safety standards.
Assist in the development and coordination of company and project-specific safety programs.
Identify known/potential exposures using our Safety Tracking System Predictive Solutions and recommend corrective action.
Report project-specific safety performance and future plans.
Develop, coordinate, and implement overall project-specific safety programs.
Work closely with field supervision to plan more complex safety aspects of the project construction including critical lifts, hazardous material handling, etc.
Develop project-specific safety training for jobsite personnel including subcontractors.
Coordinate third-party safety reviews including OSHA.
Help conduct new hire orientation Procure safety equipment and materials Conduct Post Accident Investigations and submit required forms.
Reporting to management and the team overall safety of the company and opportunities for improvement.
Leading a Safety Committee.
Qualifications A bachelor's level degree from an accredited college or university in a safety health-related field study or an equivalent combination of undergraduate education (preferred).
5 years' experience, preferably at with scaffolding systems OSHA 500 (preferably) or 501 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Demonstrated experience in development, management, and delivery of health and safety programs Ability to author reports and correspondence and communicate information verbally.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
Able to manage multiple, competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to solve practical problems and respond to employee complaints effectively.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners.
Proof of training/competency in managing forklift, fall protection, scaffolds, and silica training Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge of and familiarity with OSHA, Federal, State, and Local regulations as applicable for masonry construction Ability to work independently with limited supervision Ability to work well in a cooperative team environment, participate routinely in multi-disciplinary projects and activities Ability to recognize and deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications Masonry Industry Knowledge CHST Certification preferred Emergency response and incident management Permit-Required Confined Space Entry policies Lock Out Tag Out procedures and policies Generates trust and recognition as a coach and people leader.
CSP, First Aid/CPR Forklift Certification Training Experience with Army Corps of Engineer projects a plus Job Type:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
