SWCA Environmental Consultants is expanding their team and looking for dynamic individuals who are following their passion in delivering the highest-quality project work. We are looking to hire a Cultural Resources Technical Advisor to support our cultural resources practice in the New Mexico/Four Corners region. Our New Mexico - Four Corners office offers a unique work environment and specializes in multi-disciplinary projects across a range of industries and geographies. Your role will be to lead field efforts and manage agency deliverables. You should be able to work a standard 40-hour work week but be adaptable to variable field schedules such as 10-day field sessions with days off between sessions. What you will accomplish Oversee all aspects of field research, data collection, inventory, analysis, and final report production insuring it is conducted to the specific state and federal requirements. As needed, author large technical reports, research designs, treatment plans and other technical documents. Maintain good working relationships with state and federal agency contacts and clients following relevant work protocols. Provide leadership and mentorship for other cultural resource staff. Experience and qualifications for success Master's degree in Archaeology or Anthropology required Minimum of four (4) years of supervisory and fieldwork experience required Ability to design and implement a testing or data recovery excavation project consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation. Experience in New Mexico archaeology required Technical specialization (i.e. lithic analysis, faunal analysis, historical archaeology, architectural history, etc.) preferred Experience with Section 106 required Past peer-reviewed publication record and conference presentation experience preferred Qualified to be listed on the New Mexico State and New Mexico BLM Permit for Archaeological Investigations Ability to be listed on various federal and state cultural resource permits in other states desired SWCA Environmental Consultants is a growing employee-owned firm, providing a full spectrum of environmental services. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
