Responsibilities PWB layout design, start to finish, including collaboration with electrical and mechanical designers to include mechanical-outline definition and board keep-out areas, initial parts placement and routing guidelines, plane-layer definitions, layer stack-up and copper weight definitions, net-list routing (both manual and tool derived), implementing signal-integrity and EMI/EMC constraints, and incorporation of power distribution planes to meet filter/bypassing guidelines. Qualifications Five years minimum direct PWB layout experience is mandatory. Experience with Altium Designer is a strong plus for this position. Experience implementing structured design-rule-checks and document routing for approvals is a necessary part of the applicant's qualifications. Direct involvement/experience implementing and maintaining EEE component library element footprints and symbols as needed to support new designs and development projects is a necessary skill for this position Strong Configuration Management skills are also necessary in developing controlled design documents in support of new development projects. The standard set of documents included as part of the CM baseline for this position include; Printed Circuit Board procurement drawings, Gerber files, Circuit Assembly drawings, Schematics and Parts Lists for each assembly. The candidate shall also have direct experience coordinating and managing third-party PWB subcontractors as necessary to accommodate periods of high-capacity developments with tight schedule constraints.
