Responsibilities This position is responsible for providing technical and administrative management of corporate servers, networks, and users. The Systems Administrator should have good technical knowledge of computer systems, hardware and software. They should be able to understand and troubleshoot a problem as well as effectively communicate its solution. The Systems Administrator will be expected to respond fast to technical issues in order to minimize downtime of our employees. The performance goals for the position are to provide fast and useful technical assistance in order to support the working availability of our IT infrastructure and to identify and implement corrective and preventative changes to sustain and improve availability. Responsibilities for System Administrator o Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization o Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes o Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues o Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure o Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures o Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions o Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance Success in this role will require the ability to utilize these competencies:

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Qualifications o Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required o 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience o System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus o Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent o Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols o Experience with scripting and automation tools
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
System & Network AdministrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
