Responsibilities Description As a Modeling and Simulation Engineer for BlueHalo, you will work with a team of analysts, software developers, and subject matter experts (SMEs), to develop models and simulations to support space systems. You will participate in different levels of software design, implementation and testing of space system models and threat effects to support analyses, studies, and wargames. You have a knack for software development and communication, bridging the gap between SMEs and analysts. You bring strong technical experience with any of the following:
Python, C++, or other modern programming language. You have a vision for extending and improving software frameworks and the ability to develop using a variety of DevOps environments which might include GIT, DI2E, Azure DevOPs, as well as open source tools such as Python scripts, virtual machines, etc. to support modeling and simulation tool improvements/needs. Responsibilities Regularly coordinate with BlueHalo personnel and government partners to enhance our cross-domain modeling expertise in multi-domain software tools, analysis, studies and wargames. Perform modeling and simulation software development tasks with Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) M&S software tools, like the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM). Develop Modeling and Simulation (M&S) expertise across a wide range of disciplines related to Space Domain Awareness and Space Control in support of stakeholders. Learn DoD Space systems requirements, align development and analysis to meet those requirements, and communicate results to stakeholders. Design and perform analysis to verify and validate (V&V) models and framework Qualifications Required Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and have ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, physics, computer science or other related field and 4
years of experience in related field. Candidate must be able to work as a Modeling and Simulation Engineer in a team environment performing programming and analytical tasks. Demonstrated ability to use and uphold established software development processes including requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, peer review, and continuous integration techniques is essential. Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages is required:
Python, C++, or other object oriented language. Desired Desire a current US Secret or higher security clearance. Highly desire experience with the AFSIM simulation architecture and its scripting language. Desire familiarity with the Space Domain Awareness and Space Control technology. Desire familiarity with Agile development principles and processes.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
