Responsibilities Summary/Objective BlueHalo is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to provide end-to-end opto-mechanical engineering support to diverse R&D programs and small-volume high-tech production contracts. The candidate would oversee one or more engineers and/or technicians per project. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong creative and critical thinking skills; the desire to be a lead mechanical engineer on projects as well as contribute to technical proposal writing, customer interactions, etc. The ideal candidate would be able to quickly adapt to various types of work, and would quickly learn new skills, analysis methods, etc. while supporting a diverse range of contracts. Responsibilities:
Expected to lead the design, analysis, integration, and test activities of opto-mechanical assemblies and mechanisms for ground and airborne applications including optical systems, scanning mirrors and fast steering mirrors, gimbals, and other related pointing and stabilization systems. Working with precision mechanism design, assembly, integration, and test. Will work with CAD software including mechanical design and drawings. Working on multi-disciplinary projects at one time Performing research oriented (technology development) contracts and rigorous processes & procedures associated with building space qualified or production hardware. Yes Qualifications Required Education and
Experience:
US Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance. Bachelors or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and 5-10 years' experience. Experience with opto-mechanical system design, assembly, integration, and test. Experience with CAD software including mechanical design and drawings. Experience with finite element analysis software and methods. Preferred Education and

Experience with space flight hardware (including environmental requirements, standards, materials, etc.)
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Mechanical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
