Mine is not running, but needs only carb cleaned and new points, cables lubed and cleaning since its been outside in the winds. Peralta Power Equipment BCS dealership at 3610 HWY 47 charges about $300 to take the head off, clean valves and make it run well. I am selling it as is where is. The hp of mine is 10, much stronger than the new BCS GX240 8hp Honda engine that only takes a 20" rototilller attachment, and the new BCS 11HP Honda GX340 is $3,200.00 without the rototilller attachment. Mine has the Italian Acme 4 stroke 10HP gas engine, excellent tires, oil bath industrial air cleaner. very low hours but just older. My Model 715 will take all of the other BCS tractor attachments. It needs alot of cleaning since it's been outside, carburetor cleaned, and could use new points. It needs a new throttle cable or taken out and lubed and clutch cable lubed as well. Three forward speeds, neutral and two reverse speeds. The new BCS with the 8hp sells for $2,830.00 and the rototilller is another $679.00. The average price of my older 715 machine used running well is about $2,300.00 with the rototilller attachment on it. A new cable is about $10; new points are about $15, and if you need a mechanic for carb work it will be about $30-$60. I'm selling mine for $1,000.00 since you know just the rototilller attachment costs $679.00.
The ACME engine brand was purchased by Lombardini in 1997, and then Lombardini was purchased by Kohler in 2007. Kohler has technically discontinued the ACME brand name, but the ACME parts are still in production. Earth Tools has been ACME distributors since 1980, and they are the ACME parts distributor in North America. They keep over $10,000 in ACME parts in stock. Peralta Power Equipment can both work on it and order parts. Earth tools has a new European engine for about $500.00.
The New price of the BCS GX340 11hp Honda is $3,879.00 with the rototilller attachment or buy mine reasonable.
