Systems Administrator (TS/SCI eligible)

OverviewAegis Aerospace is currently accepting applications for Systems Administrator with our team at Kirtland Air Force base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
This role supports Space Systems Command with a background in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting cross-domain systems.
The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional team to provide hands-on experience designing, installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining enterprise systems.
The SA must have a team-oriented and customer-focused attitude due to multiple locations and various end users.

Are you ready to Innovate, Explore, and Protect?Responsibilities Perform high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers.
Oversee the execution of security measures called out in the security plan to include timely scans of network resources and software patches.
Provide effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of production Linux Servers in a VMWare Virtualized Environment.
Apply DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems.
Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources and log management of Linux and Windows systems.
Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis.
This includes troubleshooting any and all issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access.
Support RHEL platforms hosting applications, operations and sustainment systems, and ACAS and other security tools.
Interface with network engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts in the performance of your duties.
Troubleshoot hardware, networking and software problems in multi-node environment.
Configure and install operating system and application software on bare-metal computers, virtual machines or containers.
Participate in an on-call rotation to troubleshoot issues impacting operations.
Create and maintain software documentation and updates.
Work with a highly technical team to perform evaluation tests.
Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establishe goals to meet outlined objectives.
Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.
Work under only general direction.
Independently determine and develop an approach to solutions.
Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
Have frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
Represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
QualificationsRequired:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field and 2 years or more relevant experience; a Master's degree and 1 year of experience.
Active DoD TopSecret with SCI eligibility and able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
Minimum 1 years' experience focused on Linux/UNIX system administration.
DOD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification required (such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCPy) to start.
Able to obtain and maintain environment/resident certification within 6 months of start.
Direct experience with network topology, data flows, firewalls, routers and switches.
Desired:
