Accounting assistant responsibilities include general office duties, reception, direct client communication, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling accounts.
Knowledge and experience with accounting and bookkeeping procedures, QuickBooks, and Excel is critical.
If you have the right background, and are willing and able to learn more, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills relevant to accounting and tax return preparation.
Responsibilities Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies Prepare bank deposits Enter financial transactions into internal databases Check spreadsheets for accuracy Maintain digital and physical financial records Issue invoices to clients as needed Prepare, review and file payroll documents Skills Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and bank account reconciliation Familiarity with finance regulations Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.
g.
QuickBooks) Organization skills Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information AA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is a plus.
