(ARA) has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Mechanical Engineer to provide a key technical role in weapons effects testing and build a lasting career with ARA.
We are looking for a self-directed individual with a strong background in program management and explosives testing, which includes managing cost, schedule, and performance as well as test bed design, test execution, and data analysis.
The candidate should have a strong desire to grow their expertise, work with government counterparts to develop test and analysis programs and make significant contributions to division goals and planning efforts.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment with frequent client interaction that requires strong multi-tasking and communication skills.
The candidate will be responsible for management of various projects and will have proven project management experience.
The successful candidate will be able to build relationships with both Commercial and Government clients and prospective clients.
They will be able to conduct business development activities and develop programs in conjunction with clients that result in contract work for ARA.
The ability to write winning proposals and develop cost proposals in a collaborative team environment will be essential.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting planning and field testing for evaluation of weapon effects in a variety of scenarios.
These tests are critical to the development of technologies that safeguard our nation from future threats.
Testing is highly varied and includes CBRNE defeat and counter-WMD technologies.
There will be opportunities to work with technologies in advanced energetic materials, ground shock, cratering, thermal effects, structural response, radiation detection, chem/bio defeat, and autonomous unmanned systems.
The candidate should have a background in Engineering or Physics.
Duties will include managing personnel, purchasing, cost, schedule, and technical performance for field test programs, and will require problem solving and innovative skills to meet test objectives.
Test program support will require formulation of the experimental approach, development of experimental designs, successful experiment execution, data analysis, and technical reporting.
Duties will also include overseeing the successful execution of predictive algorithms for test scoping calculations and results analysis.
A strong knowledge of the penetration and explosive test environment will be required to evaluate algorithm outputs to ensure that calculated results represent realistic values.

Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance US citizenship is required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related field Understanding of explosives effects with a focus on air blast and penetration Broad technical engineering/ science capabilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well both within a team and independently Experience with field test planning and execution Self-directed Preferred:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
