The Test Engineer is a member of the project systems and software agile development team.
The Test Engineer works closely with other project team members and represents the test group in project meetings.
Responsibilities Execute activities associated with testing and evaluating AFSEC software systems and provide input for supporting documentation including but not limited to:
Data collection tools Analysis tools Data interfaces Databases Data repositories System requirements specifications Database design descriptions.
Execute, document, and maintain pre-release and post-release test and functionality checklists, associated with every scheduled and unscheduled system release Establish methods and techniques, plan tests, develop test requirements, write Integration & Test (I&T) procedures and reports, and conduct tests events Plan and perform I&T assignments involving the definition of test and verification requirements, I&T plans, and sequences Validate and test Matrix deployment Validate and test Release Candidate prior to deployment Perform validation and verification of deployment Plan/coordinate to send out messages to the needed party Generate inputs to Lessons Learned to discuss in sprint retro meeting.
Attend technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of his/her projects Provide a monthly status report identifying key activities and deliverables produced during the reporting month and activities planned in the future month Work closely with our Solutions and Software Engineers to develop and execute robust testing strategies against new and existing applications Author and execute test cases as well as perform the development and maintenance of automated test scripts Author test plans and test reports Support Unit, Integration, Regression, and System Testing Contribute to improving customer support by actively responding to queries and handling issues Follow up with customers to identify areas of improvement on a periodic basis Review incidents and escalations for timeliness and quality and take corrective action where appropriate Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required BA/BS degree in a technical discipline is strongly preferred 5
years' experience supporting test events for software applications and web application Experience developing test cases based on both system requirements and concepts of operations Experience with creating accounts, and distribution lists, and troubleshooting user permissions in Exchange/ Active Director.

years of military experience in Navy Safety and Occupational Health field preferred, but not required Knowledge of Agile-Scrum required Secret Clearance required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals Preferred knowledge of software application development and automated testing frameworks Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired Good problem-solving skills:
