Software Systems Engineer/Experimentation Lead
Job ID 13525SDL is seeking a highly motivated and organized Software Systems Engineer for the Hybrid Architecture Demonstrations (HAD) program within the Software Development Branch either located in Albuquerque, New Mexico or in Logan, UT.
The HAD program investigates the military utility of the Hybrid Space Architecture, which requires a high level of engagement between military end-users and technical teams.
Overall, this position aims to improve experiment design, performance metrics gathering, and results documentation for software demonstration events.
This software systems engineer role requires focused efforts to understand the customer's vision, stakeholder use-cases, the technical solution, and requirements validation mechanisms so that they can be documented and tracked for continuous, responsive performance improvements for the military end-user.

Qualifications:
BS degree or equivalent in computer science, BIS, engineering, or related computer fieldExperience with gathering diverse inputs to design experiments, capture metrics, and concisely document resultsFamiliarity with software system design, development, and testing Capable of reviewing software development processes (revision control, peer reviews, documentation standards)High emotional intelligence and politically savvyActive DOD Secret Clearance or higherMust be able to travelPreferred
Qualifications:
2 or more years of relevant experience in military environmentsExperience with the Agile development frameworkFamiliarity with space-based sensing systems, mission planning software, and/or exploitation capabilitiesFamiliarity with the Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) processActive TS/SCI For questions or assistance with the application process or the DoD SkillBridge program, please contact.
