Summary:
Join us to lead our team, to assist in monitoring and coordinating our existing company safety & health program.
This would include conducting safety inspections, incident investigation, analysis and case management, safety training and help with onboarding, safety reporting, and internal communications with regards to safety concerns, and upon request, company representation for OSHA Regulatory citations and appeals.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This position reports to the CEO and CFO and supervises the safety habits and behaviors Foremen/Superintendents responsible for projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Advises personnel regarding safety protocols and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance Conducts routine and follow-up safety and hazard inspections of company work sites and office facilities including Job Hazard Analysis and Incident Investigations Responds to emergency situations and participates in fact finding causal analysis for injury/incident investigations, prepares incident and injury reports/case management Inspects and audits work practices and safety equipment daily at project sites, yards, offices, vehicles, and equipment, to ensure both internal and external regulatory compliance Makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and provides necessary safety training Manages new hire safety orientation program and provides ongoing job specific safety training Ensures subcontractor compliance regarding safety and health requirements Manages all site safety documentation and employee training/certification matrix Participates in pre-construction meetings, provides safety insight Facilitates and sometimes/often leads mass safety meetings and trainings as needed Compiles materials for safety meetings, prepares agendas, and records safety meeting minutes Manages and coordinates substance abuse testing as needed Serves as a liaison for worker's compensation reporting, case management and recordkeeping Requires the ability to work independently with minimal guidance on safety and health issues and program implementation Delivers safety and health initiatives in a manner that will lead culture change throughout the organization JOB REQUIREMENTS 5 Years' Experience in Safety related role or business equivalent OSHA certifications preferred Professional Certifications will be considered of substituting for experience requirements (Power Distribution / Transmission; Construction Industry required Knowledge in applicable ANSI, EPA, DOT, and OSHA Standards (29 CFR 1910.
268) and other applicable standards Effective oral presentation, report writing, and other written communication skills Ability to work effectively, professionally, and respectfully in a team-based environment as a team leader and team member and to promote respectful interaction to others with whom the position interacts Ability to lead task teams and interact effectively with diverse people from various functions, levels, and backgrounds Microsoft Office Must possess valid driver's license Job Type:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
