Electrical Designer needed in Albuquerque, NM. Capital equipment manufacturer seeks to hire an Electrical Designer. The Designer will prepare technical drawings of electrical wiring systems. Analyze information provided by the engineers to draft visual instructions that relate the technical specifications for the electrical system. Works closely with other project engineers to assure the equipment under development meets required standards and the customer's requirements. Experience with AutoCAD, ProE, SolidWorks, Solid Edge. Degree preferred but not required.
Responsibilities for the Electrical Designer
Prepare technical drawings of electrical wiring systems.
Analyze information provided by the engineers to draft visual instructions that relate the technical specifications for the electrical system.
This will include dimensions, arrangement and installation procedures.
Requirements for the Electrical Designer
Associates degree preferred. HS diploma required

years experience in Electrical Design of industrial equipment
Experience with AutoCAD 2014 Mechanical and/or ElectricalDraft wiring diagrams
Specify wiring connections, wire sizing, electrical equipment sizing and specification, panel layout and other documentation for equipment panel construction.
Prepare comprehensive Bills of Materials
Knowledge of standard electrical shop practices and techniques Desired: Knowledge of the NEC, UL 508 and/or CSA Standards
Communicates well verbally and in writing;
Work independently with little oversight;
Experience with heavy equipment and/or mobile heavy equipment
