The Network Engineer is responsible for:
Manage network connectivity between servers, workstations, printers and routers.
Maintain and update server to include testing and installing service packs and monitoring hardware conditions.
Troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
Perform weekly updates of antivirus signatures.
Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
Create, record and store maintenance records for all upgrades and repairs.
Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.
Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
Implement network infrastructure changes and upgrades, configure rack mounted equipment, and assist in planning and installing equipment and cable upgrades.
Monitor network performance to determine latency issues, and recommend/implement technical solutions.
Evaluate network for shortfalls and recommend changes, maintenance and upgrades as needed.
Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.
Manage, maintain and upgrade video distribution systems incorporated into networks.
Configure network firewall to protect against threats and unwanted network traffic.
Create and maintain documentation describing network ports, protocols, services, software and hardware inventory and baselines as well as network topology.
Server Administrator to include system clock and domain controller synchronization.
Active Directory and Group Policy Administrator.
Other Duties as required include:
Tier 2 support as needed
Facility management including meeting and conference support
Coordinate with security manager on facility security.
BS in computer field desired or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least five years' experience desired.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix a plus. VOIP knowledge desired.
DoD Secret security clearance required; Top Secret clearance desired.
CCNA certification required or willing to obtain CCNA within six months of hire.
Experience in computer support/system administration.
Knowledge of cryptography, specifically IPSEC is a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
