Sr. Med Student Education Coordinator

The Department of Neurology is seeking an outgoing and personable individual to coordinate our medical education/clerkship program as well as to provide administrative support to Neurology Faculty. The successful candidate will schedule teaching activities for medical students every 4 weeks and will work with our Clerkship Directors in the successful coordination of this important program. Will assist in the development and compilation of educational and associated materials. Will plan, prepare, and distribute training schedules to medical students and monitor student progress through the rotation to ensure that all graduation requirements are being met.
We are looking for someone with web design and maintenance experience as well as experience with computer systems. This person will provide administrative support to neurology faculty, assisting with various responsibilities such as clinical issues and other administrative tasks including travel arrangements for faculty and reimbursements using the UNM Banner system and a skill of navigating the Internet with knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Duties will also include development and maintaining database systems to gather and analyze statistical information. Experience in setting up AV equipment for teaching conferences would be beneficial. The successful candidate will partner with the Resident Coordinator to cross-train and coordinate schedules for the teaching faculty.
Candidates for this position must be eligible for employment as verified by the US Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA); those individuals on the OIG/GSA Exclusion Lists will not be considered for hire. Once hired, periodic checks will be made for eligibility of continued employment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
