Job Description
American Systems has a immediate need to for a IT Systems Administrator /IA Specialist atKirtland AFB Albuquerque, NM.
The IT Systems Administrator /IA Specialist will support our Joint Navigation Warfare Center Program (JNWC). Be familiar with and implement Information Assurance instructions as directed by the DOD, USAF, and Kirtland AFB. Prepare security documentation for various configurations to include networks, networked systems, and standalone systems in order to support government requirements. Perform system administration on infrastructure systems that include Windows Servers running common workgroup applications such as MS SQL, SharePoint, etc. Document and share best practices with JNWC IT, IA, and Security staff. Duties and
Responsibilities: o Ensure Information Assurance and Security compliance of all JNWC Information System (IS) resources o Prepare IA/security packages for JNWC IS resources for approval by appropriate authorities o Configure networks, servers, and desktop and notebook computers based on DOD/JNWC requirements o Install and maintain operating systems, government and commercial-off-the-shelf software packages, and network printers on Windows platforms o Assist with configuration management functions on JNWC systems o Work directly with other technical support staff to resolve problems o Assist with the development of IT requirements and specifications based on JNWC requirements o Interface with Kirtland Air Force Base and other external organizations to identify and resolve system problems that must be resolved at that level o Work with security team to maintain systems capabilities to protect information and IT resources in accordance with DoD IT Security regulations and directives. o Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.

Job Requirements
Required Education:
oBachelor s degree from an accredited college or university. 5 - 7 years of directly applicable experience and specialized training will be considered, and additional technical training may be considered equivalent to work experience, in lieu of degree
oCandidate must have a currentSecurity
certification

Required
Experience:
o Minimum five (5) years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in performing all aspects of systems administration.
o Core competency in managing Microsoft Windows workstations and servers including Windows XP, Vista, 7, and Server 2008/2012
o Experience with Windows Active Directory o Working knowledge of VPN and laptop wireless
o Experience supporting server rack environments/switches/VLANs
o Provides a high level of professionalism and customer service
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
o Familiarity with DISA STIGS, DIACAP, DOD8500 series, ICD503, JAFAN 6/3, IAVA, VMS

Required Security Clearance: Candidates must have anactive TOP SECRET SCI clearance.

Desired Skills:
o Other certifications a plus (CISSP, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, A+, Network+, etc.)
o Experience with VTC systems a plus
