Minimum Skills/Requirements
Skills: Bachelor''s degree and educational requirements needed to be licensed as a Physical Therapist in New Mexico and to meet requirements of Home Health Medicare Conditions of
Participation if necessary. One year experience in supervised clinical practice in acute care or rehab setting preferred. Basic typing competency preferred. Need to have current
driver''s license as well as auto insurance.
Knowledge: Requires detailed knowledge of Physical Therapy in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data. This
staff member must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served. Must develop a basic knowledge of Medicare guidelines
governing agency practices.
Abilities: Mental Power: Ability to make decisions are varied but are usually confined to situations which are familiar. There are several defined alternative solutions
available. Ability to evaluate and provide patient care consistent with payor-source standards and regulations.
Mental Power: Ability to exercise choice in how work is accomplished with independence to operate within established policies, procedures and schedules.
Physical Power: Walks, sits, stands in place, arm/wrist/hand movement, lifts.
Primary Job Functions
- Evaluates patients, develops plans and goals, and implements treatment programs for improvement of physical or developmental dysfunction and independence in activities of daily
living. Continuously reassesses treatment plans and goals.
- Evaluates, observes and instructs clients on work related functional skills. Educates and instructs regarding home programs and preventive measures as appropriate to patient,
family, and others.
- Initiates documentation in the home and completely records all care delivery as required by the profession and the department by the end of each day; this includes admissions.
- Communicates with patient, family, physician, and other healthcare providers regarding patient care.
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Participates in educational programs and inservices and other meetings as required. Participates on special project teams and other related duties as assigned and requested.
- Performs other functions as required.

- Maintains a department defined productivity standard for visits and caseload management
- Precepts newly hired therapists and students and serves as a resource person and professional role model as needed.
- Responsible for holiday and weekend coverage for agency and patients home visits as required on a rotating basis.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
